Sex is a beautiful act created by God. He said, “go into the world and multiply.” So we can only procreate our kind through sex. Well I want to let you know that this beautiful act has been abused and it is hurting many today. Sex has hurt many and it is still hurting many today. What are the ways in which sex is hurting the world today? As you continue reading this article, you will find out.
Rape
In as much as there is no justification for rape, a person who has been engaging in all manner of sexual activities might one day loose his self control. Having so many sexual partners, watching pornographies, not being able to live a day without sex, more like a sex-maniac. The moment you can’t control yourself, you begin to do things that you can’t imagine or things that you will regret in the long run. Not having self control is one of the major reasons why people rape today. You hear stories of a 50 year old man raping a teenager, teenage boys raping their female class mates, the incident goes on and on. It is sad but this is what the act, sex has resulted to, in this present age and time. The rape victim will end up living with that hurtful incident for the rest of his or her life. Some persons can’t deal with it and they take their own lives. Some persons get unwanted pregnancies as a result of rape. Some persons could get infected with sexually transmitted diseases. Some persons could develop low self esteem as a result of it.
Some persons develop unnecessary hate for the opposite sex as a result of the rape they encountered. Some persons develop fear of the unknown and loosing of one’s self. The damages that rape cause are nothing to write home about. It is destroying the people in the society and hence the world at large.
Post traumatic Syndrome (PTSD)
Have you heard of nymphomania and satyromania? Well nymphomania simply means uncontrollable sexual desires in women while satyromania is uncontrollable sexual desires in men. A woman or a man can develop either of these conditions as a result of sexual abuse. For example a young girl or a young boy that was introduced into having sex at a very tender age can develop nymphomania or satyromania. These boys or girls did not willingly agree into having sex with the elderly person that must have introduced it to them. These boys or girls are threatened to be killed if they told anyone what they are passing through. Because of the fear of death, they kept enduring it until they become used to the act. They grow up with PTSD and they start treating someone else the same way they were treated. Usually the men resort to raping girls and women, while the women resort to luring men into sleeping with them. Although there are few cases where a woman raped a man. Nymphomania and satyromania can be avoided if parents pay close attention to their children. Notice when your child is afraid of a particular man or woman. Usually children are free with everyone but when they start fearing a particular person, there will be more to it. So let us try and save our children from developing nymphomania or satyromania by paying closer attention to their changes in behaviour.
Poor child training
When you have sex, the sperm of a man meets the egg of a woman and a child is conceived. Although it is not always all the time that a zygote is formed, there are some medical factors attached to it. A woman needs to be in her ovulation window and the man must be potent. So in the presence of an egg and a sperm, a child will be conceived. So a situation where a child is conceived and either of the parents, usually the fathers fails to take responsibilities, the child will grow without either of them.
A child that grew in the absence of one of his/her parents could be damaged. Nevertheless, there are single parents who are doing great jobs in the lives of their kids. Some of the people committing nuisance today in the society grew without a father or a mother. My advice to us, if you know that you are not ready to take care of a child, don’t bring a child into this world to suffer or to get damaged. As a growing girl, you will need advice from your mother pertaining to girls’ issues and as a growing boy, you will need advice from your father pertaining to boys’ issues. So when either of these parents is absent, it becomes a problem for that child. Also, some children are very stubborn and so it takes the efforts of both parents to train them perfectly.
Apart from a child growing in the absence of the father or mother, there are other cases where both parents are present but the child is not well trained. A situation where a couple has more than the number of children they can cater fo, the children might end up not having quality education, good feeding and other necessities of life. This act sex is hurting mostly our seeds (children).
Unfaithfulness
Do not start a thing that you cannot finish. Try as much as you can to abstain from sex until you are married. Sex is made for married couples. You are meant to have one sexual partne, by so doing you avoid sexually transmitted diseases, and unfaithfulness in your marriage. A person who has had so many sexual partners has a very high probability to cheat in marriage. This is because you will start comparing your partner with the men or women that you have had sex with in the past.
Maybe partner A is a good kisser, partner B is a good romancer, partner C is great in bed, and then your present husband or wife can’t kiss like partner A or is not great in bed like partner C then you will start comparing him or her with the others. Because you are not satisfied, you will be tempted to cheat on your spouse. If only you abstained till you got married, what ever your spouse gives you as pertaining to sex is what you will get and you will be fully satisfied. There won’t be room for comparisons.
My advice to us today is: do not awaken sex when you are not ready; do not run from your responsibilities, take care of that child and make his life better; avoid giving birth to the number of children that you can’t cater for; for individuals who were sexually abused, get help, speak out while it is not too late. Let us make sex an act of happiness and not an act of hurt.
